Nobody trusts the pipeline, so nobody trusts the forecast

A forecast is a sum over deal records. When open deals are missing amounts, carry close dates that have already passed, or belong to people who no longer work here, the number is wrong before anyone applies judgment to it. The sales audit counts each of those, grades the pipeline, and names the skill that fixes each finding.

A forecast is a sum over deal records. If a fifth of open deals have no amount, a quarter have close dates in the past, and some belong to reps who left months ago, the forecast is wrong before anyone applies judgment to it. Pipeline reviews then turn into data-entry sessions, and leaders stop using the CRM to make decisions. Most of this is measurable in a few minutes, and most of it is fixable. — from the HubSpot Sales Audit skill

Frequently asked questions

What makes a HubSpot pipeline unreliable?

Usually five things: open deals with no amount, open deals whose close date has passed, deals with no logged activity for months, deals owned by deactivated users, and closed-lost deals with no reason recorded. All five are countable through the API.

Does the sales audit change any deals?

No. It only searches and counts. Fixing deals needs the people who own them, so the cleanup skills produce review lists rather than bulk-closing anything.

Will it match the numbers marketing sees?

Yes for everything the two share. The marketing and sales audits run on the same engine, and the shared dimensions (owners, company data, duplicates) are computed by the same code under either scope.
